Ancestral Lineage Healing is a practice of building direct relationship with your blood ancestors in service of personal, family, and cultural healing. With a strong emphasis on safety, boundaries, and discernment, this work helps you connect with wise, well ancestors (and supportive ancestral guides) and learn how to partner with them to bring healing to your lineages—reaching back through many generations.
The Ancestral Lineage Healing method was developed by Dr. Daniel Foor of Ancestral Medicine, and it serves as a powerful and effective approach to ancestral healing and reconnection. If you’ve already done meaningful personal healing and feel ready for deeper breakthroughs, Ancestral Lineage Healing can be a powerful next step. The framework weaves together grounded psychological insight with cultural healing and safe spiritual/ritual practice to help resolve patterns rooted in intergenerational trauma and collective pain.
As relationship with both recent and more ancient ancestors strengthens, many people experience restored “lost” blessings, more ease in relationships with the living, and a growing sense of belonging, clarity, and purpose. This work is held in an earth-centered, animist framework (meaning we relate to nature and ancestors as living beings, use guided ritual, and use spiritual language). No knowledge about one's ancestors, genealogy, or prior experience is required.

The Land of the Sleeping Rainbow
We will gather in the land long known as the Sleeping Rainbow, where the Waterpocket Fold lifts a nearly hundred-mile wave of red rock, the Fremont River cuts the only passage through it, and the night sky still carries the Milky Way. For a thousand years the Hisatsinom — the People of Long Ago, whom the Paiute call Nengwoots, the People Who Lived the Old Ways — farmed corn, beans, and squash along that river and carved bighorn sheep into the canyon walls. Their relations are still here. Ute and Nuwuvi (Paiute) peoples held this territory when the first wagons came, and Diné (Navajo) ties reach into this country too. Mormon settlers arrived late, in the 1870s-80s, and were met first by Paiute people who had tended these valleys for generations. This land was taken, and the peoples who loved it first are still here. We commit this intensive to demythologizing this land’s history and honoring its original, Indigenous stewards.
We will make a financial offering to the Grand Staircase-Escalante Inter-Tribal Coalition to help support their efforts in protecting Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (part of their sacred ancstral lands). Recent executive orders issued by President Trump shrunk the Monument’s protected area by over 90% and will soon make it accessible for harmful mining and drilling operations.
Torrey is the gateway community to Capitol Reef National Park (a true national treasure most have never heard of) and the stunning Scenic Highway 12 National Highway. It is close to Grand Staircase National Monument, the beautiful, sacred Fish Lake, and many other breathtaking public, recreational-rich lands.
It is a 3-hour drive from both Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah, and a five-hour drive from Las Vegas.
Venue still being finalized… Stay tuned for more details!

We will gather for dedicated time in group ritual over three days (June 18-20). Friday and Saturday will be full days (9 AM to 5 PM) with Sunday ending by 2 PM. The daily schedule will include spacious breaks and lunch time.
We’ll approach the work in ways that are psychologically grounded, ritually safe, and culturally inclusive. Teachings and practices are led by Joseph and Ashley, supported by a team of other trained practitioners.
Those new to ancestor work, adoptees, and folks with a tough experience of family are welcome. The larger circle will be especially supportive for those carrying personal and ancestral wounds from high-control religious and patriarchal systems. It will be a safe space to navigate and bring care to historical pain.
Over 12 guided practices in circle with drumming, song, prayer & offerings
Three full days with teachings, different approaches to ritual, and time for live questions.
Small breakout groups for intimate sharing and processing, anchored by trained ritualists.
Co-create a tangible offering of beauty for your ancestors and the larger prayer of cultural healing.
Come away with a life-long framework to relate safely with your family and lineage ancestors.

Ashley is a ritualist and writer who helps you feel less alone, lost, and broken through connection with your ancestors and soul. At the core, she changes peoples hearts and minds by sharing what has changed hers. Her ancestors are from France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Scotland. Ashley lives on Mohegan land in Connecticut, USA.
