Genealogical research is a love language for me. And when you weave it with Ancestral Lineage Healing, it gets powerful: we’re not just collecting names and dates—we’re gathering facts. And these facts become a kind of map that help us see what shaped your people, what shaped you, and what you might be ready to release or reclaim. We can better see what’s been passed down (the gorgeous stuff and the complicated stuff) and get clearer on how it still lives in your life today.

With 20+ years as a professional (and world-renowned) genealogist, I bring deep research and problem-solving chops and a steady, trauma-aware approach. It’s an honor to help clients meet their ancestors through both meticulous research and guided, ritual-based connection.

I first fell in love with genealogy at age 12 while helping my grandmother set up her first computer. Together we installed an old DOS family tree program and started entering names, dates, and stories. Seeing our ancestors appear in a visual lineage felt genuinely magical. That early spark turned into a full-blown gay teen obsession! I volunteered at (practically lived there, actually) a local Family History Center, helped patrons and taught classes, and made regular pilgrimages to the world-renowned FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City.

In 2004, while still in college, I began taking clients and unexpectedly built a full-time professional practice. In 2007, I joined a small team to help build ProGenealogists, a private firm based in Salt Lake City. Soon after, we partnered with Ancestry on the U.S. series “Who Do You Think You Are?” and in 2010 the firm was acquired by Ancestry. I remained there through June 2022, researching for hundreds of clients around the world, traveling and speaking at conferences and private events, and serving as an Ancestry spokesperson for PR and marketing campaigns and meeting many famous people—including a fun appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show! Most notably, I directed research for many episodes of “Who Do You Think You Are?” and appeared as a guest genealogist in 15 episodes.
Today, I’m back in private practice, helping clients uncover ancestral stories and tending to what those stories stir and where they lead us through Ancestral Lineage Healing support.
