Ancestral Lineage Healing is a practice of building direct relationship with your blood ancestors in service of personal, family, and cultural healing. With a strong emphasis on safety and discernment, this work helps you connect with wise, well ancestors (and supportive ancestral guides) and learn how to partner with them to bring healing to your lineages—reaching back through many generations.
If you’ve already done meaningful personal healing and feel ready for deeper breakthroughs, Ancestral Lineage Healing can be a powerful next step. Developed by Dr. Daniel Foor of Ancestral Medicine, it weaves together grounded psychological insight with cultural healing and spiritual/ritual practice to help resolve patterns rooted in intergenerational trauma and collective pain.
As relationship with both recent and more ancient ancestors strengthens, many people experience restored “lost” blessings, more ease in relationships with the living, and a growing sense of belonging, clarity, and purpose.
This intensive is open to all, with a focus and emphasis on supporting queer folx. If you think this space is for you, it is; and we welcome you!

We will gather in San Francisco, California, in the historic Calle 24/Mission District. We acknowledge that we gather on stolen land, and that the broader San Francisco area sits on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone, the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. We recognize our ancestral legacies of colonization and oppression that are active to this day in San Francisco, and far beyond. We commit the work we do in these three days together to dismantle the ongoing erasure of indigenous people in the world, including by supporting the goals of the indigenous sovereignty movement of the Bay Area, and making a financial offering to the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust. Please see https://sogoreate-landtrust.org/ for more information.
This is a non-residential intensive. The cost of food and lodging is not included in admission price. Each day, you are invited to join us at the venue for an on-time start and to stay for the duration of the scheduled event.
We are thrilled to hold this special event at the San Francisco Dharma Collective space located in the beautiful, bustling 24th Street Mission corridor of San Francisco.
The space is primarily used for meditation and holds beautiful, supportive energy for the intensive’s work. Rooted in compassion, San Francisco Dharma Collective is a non-profit organization focused on fostering community through meditation, self-reflection, and shared practice. We will gather for dedicated time in group ritual for about seven hours per day (10 AM - 5 PM) over three full days (October 2, 3, 4). The daily schedule will include spacious breaks and lunch time.
We’ll approach the work in ways that are psychologically grounded, ritually safe, and culturally inclusive. Teachings and practices are led by Ream and Joseph, supported by a team of other trained practitioners.
Those new to ancestor work, adoptees, and folks with a tough experience of family are welcome. The larger circle and gathering will also be a safe space for bringing care to historical pain.
Over 12 guided practices in circle with drumming, song, prayer & offerings
Three full days with teachings, different approaches to ritual, and time for live questions.
Small breakout groups for intimate sharing and processing, anchored by trained ritualists.
Co-create a tangible offering of beauty for your ancestors and the larger prayer of cultural healing.
Come away with a life-long framework to relate safely with your family and lineage ancestors.
